Training cum awareness programme on Pre-Kharif practices good agricultural management in different crops to Siddipet district extension functionaries (MAOs & AEOs) was jointly organized by DAATTC and ARS, Tornala at ARS, Tornala on 24.07.2025. The programme was started with welcome address by Dr. Ch. Pallavi, Coordinator i/c, DAATTC, Tornala and she explained about the fertilizer and weed management in kharif crops followed by Dr. G. Santhosh Kumar, Scientist and Head, ARS, Tornala has addressed the gathering on the contingency crop planning of the Siddipet district. Smt. J. Swarupa Rani, District Agricultural Officer attended as chief guest to the programme and addressed the extension functionaries all of you please note the measures to increase fertilizer use efficiency, requested to conduct diagnostic visits regularly. Later, Smt. Padma, ADA (Siddipet) informed such programmes need to be organized more frequently along with the feedback regularly from Agricultural department as well and urged farmers to make use of it timely. Dr. A. Ramadevi, Scientist (Ento.), ARS, Tornala created awareness on the pests and disease management in Kharif crops, Dr. D. Swetha, Scientist (Agro.), ARS, Tornala discussed importance of biofertilizers and their usage, Smt. A. Saritha, Sciemtist (Pl. Br.), ARS, Tornala informed house on seed production aspects in kharif crops. Later, folder on Contingency Crop Planning and management Strategies for Siddipet district was released by chief guest. Various questions were raised by the AEOs and AOs and scientist have clarified their doubts. In this programme, 40 AEOs & 05 MAOs from Siddipet division and 15 No. of progressive farmers have attended the programme.
