Awareness cum demonstration on “Greengram preceding to Rice fallows on 30.06.2025 at DAATTC, Tornala

Awareness programme cum demonstration on incorporation of greengram preceding to Rice was conducted by DAATTC, Tornala at Mandapally (V), Siddipet Urban (M), Siddipet district on 30.06.2025. Dr. Ch. Pallavi, Scientist explained about incorporation of green gram crop helps in improving the fertility of soil by the addition of organic carbon and also emphasized farming community about the scope of pulses area expansion with suitable varieties which can be adopted in different cropping systems. He also emphasized on the importance of greengram in N fixation and improving soil fertility due to its leguminous nature and also green manuring before kharif rice.
