Science meets Art: Rajendranagar Agri-students Day out at Dr.P. Kamala Prasad Rao’s -Her Art Gallery, Kompally

The undergraduate and postgraduate students (45 members) from College of Agriculture, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad visited Her Art Gallery located at Kompally on 26.4.2025 as a part of the Creative Arts Club Activity. Dr.K. Bhanu Rekha, Officer In-charge Extra-Curricular Activities accompanied the students. Art galleries serve as a platform for artists to communicate their vision, inspire dialogue and connect with audience. Her Art Gallery was unique with curated display of diverse forms of artwork. Making beautiful art works (representing nature, mythology, legendary personalities in various fields etc;) out of waste like fruit seeds, dry flowers, honey hive, ice-cream sticks, plastic beads, naphthalene balls, packing waste and bamboos is an inherent skill for Dr.P.Kamala Prasad Rao-Director, Her Art Gallery. She has earned Master Craftswoman title among her peers through her unique handicraft skills like paintings (oil, canvas, Tanjore etc;), engraving embroidery, clay mound art pieces, installations, sculptures and making soft toys etc; Dr. Kamala Prasad Rao is a record holder in Global World Records, India Book Records and Wonder Record and recipient of many national and international awards. She is a visiting Professor to the Jawahar Bal Bhavan, Hyderabad. She has toured extensively in England, Dubai and the US displaying her unique art works. The Agri-students were enthralled and spellbound by the unique art pieces and expressed that the gallery was an eye feast to the visitors. In the feedback they extended thanks to the University authorities for arranging such memorable visit that seeded novel ideas in the field of creative arts.
