The serene campus of Professor Jayashankar Telangana Agricultural University (PJTAU) buzzed with excitement as students, faculty and dignitaries gathered for the College Day Celebrations 2025. The event held on March 29, was a vibrant blend of tradition, recognition, and inspiration, graced by eminent personalities from academia and the arts. The ceremony was presided over by various dignitaries, who set the tone for the morning. The chief guest, renowned actor Mr. Kalla Avinash, added star power to the event, while Dr. K. Jhansirani (Dean of Agriculture), Dr. Ch. Venu Gopala Reddy (Dean of Student Affairs), Dr. K.V. Easwari (Dean of PG Studies), and Dr. C. Narendra Reddy (Associate Dean) adorned the dais as guests of honour. The event commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing wisdom and enlightenment. This was followed by a soulful rendition of the PJTAU University Song by students, evoking pride and unity. Actor Kalla Avinash, in his charismatic address, encouraged students to pursue their passions with dedication, drawing his parallels between perseverance in acting academics. He entertained students with his mimicry. Dr. C. Narendra Reddy (Associate Dean) delivered the welcome address, presenting the Annual College Day Report, which highlighted the university’s academic achievements, research milestones, and student accomplishments over the past year. Dr. Ch. Venugopal Reddy addressed the presidentail message and highlighted about the importance of skill development for students along with research. Dr. Jhansi Rani introduced the newly appointed Associate Dean Dr. Govardhan from the agronomy department and announced the establishment of Artificial Intelligence laboratory along with center for human resource development on campus. Dr. K B Eswari emphasized about the introduction of 2 new M.Sc. courses M.Sc. Molecular biology and biotechnology; M.Sc. Environmental science. Dr. M Govardhan recalled his College memories and inspired students with his speech. College Magazine C D krishak 2025 has been released by the College magazine team. The prize distribution ceremony followed, honoring outstanding students in academics, sports, and extracurricular activities. The formal proceedings concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks and event was followed by cultural programmes.
