On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Sri Kaloji Narayana Rao, a commemorative program was organized at the College of Food Science and Technology, Rudrur on 09-09-2025 in the Auditorium. The program was held under the guidance of Dr. K. Venkat Reddy, Associate Dean, and coordinated by Sri P. Shiva Kumar, Asst. Professor & OISA. Kaloji, widely known as “Praja Kavi” (People’s Poet), was remembered for his immense literary contributions and his lifelong dedication to social causes. Faculty members highlighted his simple yet powerful style of writing, his advocacy for equality, and his active role in the Telangana movement. Students also recalled his early life, famous poems, and his strong association with leaders like Prof. Jayashankar in the struggle for Telangana. Staff and students participated actively in the program, paying rich tributes to his memory. Students delivered speeches, focusing on the relevance of his ideas to today’s society. Special mention was made of institutions such as the Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences, which continue to honor his legacy. The program concluded with reflections on his values of truth, simplicity, and people’s welfare, and with a collective resolve to carry forward his ideals in academic and social life.
