On 12 August 2025, the College of Food Science and Technology (CFST), Rudrur, observed Anti Ragging Day with active participation from all teaching staff, non teaching staff, and students. Mr. P. Shiva Kumar, Assistant Professor & Officer In charge of Student Activities (OISA) addressed the gathering, underscoring the importance of the event. He highlighted the severe consequences of ragging, detailed the planned activities for the upcoming Anti Ragging Week, and set a tone of awareness and responsibility. Awareness video messages issued by the University Grants Commission (UGC), including a message by the UGC Chairman Jagadesh Kumar were played to emphasize the gravity of ragging and its legal and ethical consequences. The Associate Dean, Dr. K. Venkat Reddy, delivered a motivating appeal, encouraging all students to actively reject ragging in any form and to contribute to creating a safe, respectful, and ragging free campus environment. The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. P. Shiva Kumar, Assistant Professor & OISA.
