Anti- Ragging Day was conducted at BJR AGC Sircilla on 18.08.2025

Anti-Ragging Week” was observed at BJR Agricultural College, Sircilla from 12th - 18th August 2025 (As per circular Memo. No. 1340(1)/DSA/ARDW/2025 of the Dean of Student Affairs, PJTAU, dated: 02-08-2025). As part of “Anti-Ragging Week” Anti-Ragging Day was conducted on 18.08.2025 from 2.00 PM to 4.00 PM involving all the students, NSS officers and teaching staff to create awareness among students about harmful effects of ragging. The introductory remarks were offered by Sri. L. Raja, Assistant Professor (Agril. extn) and OISA explaining what is ragging as per UGC, administrative actions for ragging, mechanisms available to curb menace of ragging in the institution. Dr. Razia Sultana, Associate Dean (i/c), addressed the students on ragging is a non bailable offence its ruin the student personal and professional life and encouraging all students to actively reject ragging in any form and to contribute to creating a safe, respectful, and ragging free campus environment. Dr. G. Priyadarshini, Assistant Professor (Ento.) and NSS officer said serious action will be initiated against students who commits ragging. Mrs. K.. Bhavya sree, Assistant professor (Hort.) and SC-ST Cell in charge suggested the students make the college as Ragging free campus. As part of the event competitions such as slogan writing, essay writing, and poster making were conducted to student to encourage the participants to actively promote Anti Ragging measures. Video films developed by UGC on anti-ragging have been played and took a pledge to create awareness about anti ragging. Posters on themes of Anti- Ragging were released by the Associate Dean (i/c) and displayed in the hostels and the campus premises.
